Of course that woke me up instantly...the gold
fish bowl was half full of corn meal, with a rather
bewildered fish trying to avoid the new little
mountain in his bowl.

Then there was the time they were fighting and
burst a bag of pinto beans, and a tired mommy
told them to pick up every one of them. The
last one of them was picked up but the garbage
was already taken out, so the oldest, at 5 years
old, didn't have a pocket so of course stuck that
last bean up her nose. A couple of days later it had
swelled up so I took her to the doctor, who
removed her swollen and starting to grow bean
at great expense...

Ahh, kids. The further back things happened, the
more fun I remember having.
Me, too! One of my favorite memories is of a then-6-year -old daughter (my second one) who came home from a field trip to the zoo and proceeded to tell me (in front of Grandma and Uncle) that she had seen an a**hole at the zoo! I nearly died laughing, but what she meant was that she had seen a donkey (jackass)! I don't tell that story often, but it's a precious memory for me!
