Hi everyone,

I am hoping you guys can help me figure out a recipe. A man that works with me made an apple cake that was wonderful. When I asked him if he would share the recipe, he said no, that it was his grandmother's recipe and couldn't share it. I usually don't like apple cake or spice cakes of any kind. But this one was so good I really want to make it for my family. So.....I am hoping we can figure it out.

It was a sheet cake that was so moist. It had an icing that was cooked, sugary, brown colored, and pretty thin as it soaked into the cake. What didn't soak into the cake hardened a little.

Does this recipe ring a bell with anyone?

Thank you!

Vanessa
