A bracket in my closet broke and I had clothes all over the floor. I saw a 'few items' that no longer fit and one of them was a green flannel lounger type dress. I stood there looking at it and decided to cut it up into strips and make another rope rug. There was enough to make a 18 x 30 inch oval rope rug. The flannel makes it much softer than quilting cotton. It turned out great!
