Well this is a very nice rug from a mishap with your closet bar falling. I love recycling fabric.

Doesn't it make you feel great to use something that is sitting there not being used? Great thinking on your part!

Your rug is very pretty!! I've made several rugs over the years and have always enjoyed it!!
I usually find my rope at a flea market, cheap!

Thank you for answering me about the clothesline, Wow, I need to go clean out my closet and make rugs instead of having clothes in my closet , ha ha

I used a triple stitched zig-zag stitch (less wide than the default size) 40 weight thread.Oh, If your local Walmart does have it- it might be in one of two departments- craft or hardware. I'm waiting for my Walmart to replenish the stock--I cleaned them out 2 weeks ago. Several of my friends are making placemats- coasters-beachbags. I'm sticking to rugs. I'm going to try to make a matching rug for every quilt I make!.

I find that using strips 3//4 inches or just a little less easier to wrap than wider pieces and strips that are no longer that 22 inches. if they are longer they tend to get tangled. Let's see how many of you can make some. I have some flannel shirts waiting for me
