Several members here bought the Hickory Nut templates, so I thought I'd post a tutorial on how to make the blocks. Below is a pic of a table topper I made using the Small template set, but the same general construction methods apply if you're making the Small, Medium, or Large blocks.

eddie, this reminds me so much of grandmother's flower garden. why couldn't it be assembled in the same fashion with a consistent color where you have used the stripe? i think it would be a lovely red works with embordered centers. this would be a good project to carry completed 'nuts' with you to work on (hand stitch together) while waiting at dr office etc. question...does your family get involved with your projects?
