I hope it all comes out in the wash. Sorry, I could not resist. Seriously, I am sorry about the bad news. I am thinking if 2 repairs have not worked it is time to call in a plumber even if it is only to find out what is going wrong and then FIL can fix it himself.
The plumber would charge about $80 for the call. I am thinking it would be $$ well spent.
