So sorry this happened. Was you able to get the smell out of all your fabric?

Yes, thankfully. It literally smelled like somebody has vomited in the tub. That's how bad it was.

Yuk we'll blame it on the tub not fabric.... glad you were able to clean it up !! If more small pieces try a lingere or mesh bag that way they don't escape !! :)

The funny thing is I had been wanting to get my fabric from there but couldn't get to it cause there was too much in the way.
***Funny how God makes things happen for us.***

I totally agree - we get small warnings and then a bop on the head!

Sorry that happened but glad you're able to use it.

That should be a WAKE UP CALL FOR ALL OF US to make sure things are high enough off the ground to give us a head start (of a few inches) if a water issue were to happen in the basements.

I understand diasters happen - but I'm talking about minor water issues. I've gotten that *tap on the shoulder from above* and I'm working on making sure everything is in a better higher place...just in case.

All my fabric is on the second floor of the house. Our basement flooded about a month after we moved in and I hand-laid vinyl tiles on the floor - we needed a sump pump put in. Even then, there is the chance of some water intrusion during any massively heavy rains in the spring. Not much is on the floor in the basement these days.

Throw it in a mesh laundry bag, tie the end and put it in a washer with lots of baking soda and vinegar. Then when it's done, wash it again with detergent. Then throw the fabric in the dryer with several fabric sheets. JUST HURRY!!!

In case you have to do that again, and I hope you don't, throw the little pieces in a pillow case. I use pillow cases to manage lots of things in the wash :)
