Most of my birthdays were forgotten I think because Christmas and my "day" were so close. Sure it hurt when family forgot but one hurt is sort of deep. I have a son and most relatives have passed. My husband passed in 2001 he had MS. His mother hinted around that I was really no longer family and so gifts for birthdays and Christmas were out. After a long marriage and years of caring for my beloved I am told that. So, today I still give her respect but I think I am distancing myself from her now. I don't think I really know how to feel.
I am so sorry your special day was missed. You are a special person and we will all celebrate YOU this day and I know you will feel the love from all us quilters, with hugs around you.
