I put a square on the back of my quilts, with my name, date, the occasion or to the person if for a gift. Always use with a marker that will not wash away or make with your machine. Later on, someone may have it and want to know who made it, etc. Hand Quilter
OOOPPPSSS... I misunderstood you. I call that my label. Yes, I put "the title" of the quilt on it if it has been 'entitled', and my name, geographical place it was made, and year. If it is for a special occasion, I will note that as well. I usually embroider my labels - especially the ones for special occasions. For wedding gifts I will use something like wedding bells on it.

But I also use permanent markers to do the labeling, and sometimes, the pertinent information is hidden on the front.
