I am in the "love the halo" group.
My machine quilting greatly improved once I started using the halo. The gloves never really did much for me.
I am not really sure what about the halo does it -- I don't know if it forces me to concentrate on one area and then move on, pick the right speed, doesn't stress my hands. I just don't know, but it works for me.
I have let others try mine out and a few of them found the gloves worked better for them. It really is a tool that if possible try before buying.
