Here is how I make my hexagons. First I make the paper pieces. I use this site to print off one template.

I make 1" hexagons, which are 1" on each side. I print off one sheet, then put 5 sheets of scrap paper under it and cut all at once.

Now cut 2.5" squares from your fabric.

Place the template in the middle of the fabric. I like to do it kind of diagonally.

I use hand quilting thread and John James betweens needles. Cut a length of thread the length of your forearm or so.

Finger press one corner together.

Bring the needle from the back to the front, going through the paper and the 2 layers of fabric. I use this video to help me http://vimeo.com/10990847

Then go down through again

I like to do this twice on the first corner. Then repeat for all the corners.
