I use pieces of flannel and hang up to design my quilt, I pin everything, when I am done, I carefully fold it up and put on a hanger. this way, everything is in place. YOu can also use the flannel on the back of a picnic tablecloth.
I paperpiece alot, if I put them in a bin, I have to lay out again, I have better time management doing it this way, use the bin for the fabrics in the project.
