During my working years I purchased one of those folding sunscreens used to block the sun from shining into the windshield. My dark brown car spent the entire day parked on the south side of my office building in FL. One day I noticed a NOTICE on it which said, and I'd testify to this under oath, "WARNING,Do not operate vehicle while sunscreen is in place." I laughed outloud and a colleague parked several slots away came over to find out what was so funny. Since we are both lawyers it was especially funny.

It's the lawyers with little self respect who file those lawsuits and the idiots on the bench and in the jury box who necesitate those warnings. It's called CYA. The hot coffee damages award was reversed but just reduced, not tossed as it should have been.
