I certainly feel for you. I hope you ask for a discount when you receive their bill. And a letter to the company is certainly in order.

I had a similar experience; I thought I had messed the shaft up on my longarm; I called the nearby dealer and was told it would be a week before they could work on it as the repair guy only worked on Saturdays - then another week before I could pick it up. Two weeks down time? No way! I called the dealership (a 3 hour drive for me) they could work on it that same day. I made the trip, my machine was fixed in 5 minutes and I was on my way home. A long drive but I was only down 1 day.
