You go girl !!!! Try out several different brands and research research research ! I loved several but went with the Bernina aurora 430 as I'm, also a beginner and loved the one my patient wonderful teacher had and allowed me to use ! Don't know if or when I would want a machine that could do more but, never say never ! Plenty to learn and use 1st with this one though ! When you take the classes to learn your new machine there are plenty of feet etc to purchase as well so...... Maybe waiting for Christmas is a good idea !! Enjoy
