My case didn't smell to me, but it must have had one because my cat kept clawing it. So, I bought a new one that looked identical to the old one and he clawed that too. So, I bought one of those canvas ones that you see advertised in quilting magazines. I love it.
Talking about husbands. I've found with mine, that I show any interest in gadgets or equipment, he wants to get it for me. Maybe because they like tools too??
