Diogirl,
A year agp I was laid off, I was working at that job for 10 years and loved what I did. I thought I was going to retire from it and all the sudden they closed the FL office. To make it worse I was leaving on vacation 2 days after the announcement. So I totally understand how you feel. It has been a year and I still think about my former job and how happy I was. I would tell you a couple of things. one is to start looking for a job and take one as soon as you have the opportunity, waiting for the perfect job will not help you in any way and you can continue looking until you find the perfect fit. Second, enjoy the time off (not only the vacation) while it lasts because you will be back in the workforce soon.
