I used to have a machine like that. After fighting it for several years I gave up and got a new machine. I sold the old one to a lady at the quilt shop and she had the same hatred for that machine withing a month and she sold it. Some times there are just lemon sewing machines. Good luck with a new one. Also mine was a very well known brand that most people love.
