They are thinner but ... several of the top fabric companies are using thinner fabrics for a few of their collections. It has not stopped me from purchasing. When a manufacture does this it is a disapointment, but its not a deal breaker. The Moda marbles are such a good line. I never think twice about how much to order ( Marbles ) since the leftovers will find a place in many projects with both traditional and batik fabric.
