I like the look of this bedspread, but obviously it's not a real quilt; it's just a print of a patchwork. From looking at it, though, I do have a question. I like how the patchwork squares what seems like a ribbon trim on them.

Is there any reason you couldn't do this in real life with a real quilt? My first quilt will likely involve very simple squares, and this might give the quilt a little more life?
