I would certainly have words with that quilt shop owner! Although, it sounds like she probably was trying to get rid of some bad fabric anyway. I'd think twice about buying anything else from her.
But really, I don't think it looks that bad and I know your Mother will love it no matter what. It's just a shame that you've had to go through this. BYW, Your quilting is beautiful!
