Quilter2 you have some awesome decorating skills yourself. I see the old utensils. I have a basket of them. I will lay them out sometime and take a pic. Won't be now. I think I am coming down with Mom's viral flu.
I love your pie safe! What I love the most about the pie safes is the tin is usually punched into a quilt type pattern. I don't like all the ones I see but I really like yours! Very pretty. Family heirlooms are so much fun aren't they. Love that you inherited your dad's chair.
I could post more pics but it will have to be later.Most of these last ones I already had. I do have some of my mom's house too and I will have to find them She has things like an antique wooden washing machine. She collects a lot of crocks and most of what I learned about decor is learned from her. We just recently cut out the better part of her 1950's kitchen counter leaving only enough room for her mini coffee pot and a few dishes waiting to be washed. She bought an old cabinet like the ones I like and it sits at the end of the counter(all 18" of it LOL). She has a built in old 2 oven stove recessed into her center island which also has her stove top surrounded by brick. She has a fantastic looking house especially if you like antiques and collections. She is always changing it around almost every day. She says she has to live with it for awhile to see if she likes the look! When I have more energy I will post more pics.
