By having a consistent bottom tension, you can then adjust your top until you get the balance that you need. Not all bobbing are the same, nor do that all load the same. The TOWA will help you adjust if you need to do so.

I may end up having to get one, but I have always been able to adjust my bobbin without it in the bast. My bobbin tension was great on the first machine, and sometimes on this one. Very frustrating.
