Are you using a method like in the link above, except different colors in squares that are across from each other and different measurements so the center tie is proportionally smaller?
No, I don't use that for my pattern. I want my blocks all to match my pattern. That other way is beautiful and would make a lovely quilt, but is not a true original Bow Tie. I do like the Cathedral touch and have used it in the past, just for an addition for a quilt or a medallion of a shirt or jacket.
