I occasionally use a Bernette 90e for some parts of my projects and it works really well--but has only a horizontal spool pin. Why is this, I wonder--how much more expenive could it be to construct these machines with a spoon pin that hinges vertically as well as horizontally? I doubt there is any answer to this. But does anybody have a recommendation for a thread stand?
I might add that oddly enough, my Juki 98Q hates Superior Thread of all weights. I had to give up on it and go back to C&C.
