Reguarding threads and thier costs..
if you calculated the cost per yard. the larger or costly spools or cones would actually not be as bad as you think.it is the initial cost that makes us not want to pay the amount .
i quit using C & C,because the price went up, and the spool or yardage got smaller..(the new dual duty) . they say it was too linty, but i clean my bobbin area after every small project, usually when i change the bobbin thread, i wipe it out,prior to putting in the new bobbin.
I think the fabric is way more linty than the threads. IMHO
