That was also me back in the old days, when the 4 children were small I would sew in a corner of the basement playroom so I could also be with them. My middle daughter told me one of her fondest childhood memories was the sound of the sewing machine while they were playing.
When the oldest moved out it took me 5 min. to convert his room (only boy so the only one with his own room) into a sewing room. He was shocked when he came home for a visit, he thought I would keep his room like a shrine. LOL.
Now I have a large studio in a bright walk out basement, I love it, but sometimes miss the old days that were so many years ago, now I'm a grandmother & great grandmother & still sewing.
