when they have a sale. i'm not bonded to any particular brand as long as the weight is right, and i use poly, rayon, and silk, as well as cotton. i've tried all the brands they sell. if the needle eye is smooth and the quality of the thread is good, i never have a problem. except with invisible thread. yuck.

just look up threads and bobbins, then choose the thread you're interested in. they're having a sale right now on valdani, a very nice thread, $3.00, a good price. sometimes they close out colors. that's when i buy.
