I'm 39 and remember so many of the things mentioned! Growing up in a rural area meant technology came to us at a snail's pace.
We did have a color tv, but mom & dad still had the old black & white in their bedroom, and my grandmother still had one too. We also still had telephone party lines until I was about 17.
As a child I played out in the cow pasture, swam in the creek and drove dad's big John Deere tractor...unsupervised...and I'm still alive! Things were so much simpler back then...maybe we just worry too much now.
