My husband is really good at getting me gifts, because he puts a lot of thought into them or gets me the things I specifically ask for, BUT there are still some things I don't understand...

When he asked me if I liked bracelets, and I said no, they're usually too big for my wrist and besides they get in the way and I just don't like them... why was his next move to buy me a pearl bracelet for my birthday (he knows I love pearls). Now I just feel guilty that I don't wear it often.

Why, after I told him I really liked the sweater he got me for Christmas (colors I liked, style I liked, really a great sweater) did he HAVE to tell me that the reason I got that one and not the one I specifically asked for was that the one I asked for was "too expensive"? Couldn't he just have kept that to himself? And really, it wasn't THAT expensive.
