My favorite tool is a pair of long neck tweezers. I use it for threading my machine needle since I don't know how to use the one already on the machine and to tuck corners for a point. I use it to hold down the very end of my fabric so I don't run over my fingers and when the thread breaks I pull the broken thread near the part of the machine I can't reach. I also pick the lint near the upper part of the needle and I am sure eventually I will find more uses for it. But when I set up my machine, my tweezers and my snipper scisors are nearby.
