My daughter is 46 and having her second child. Her original doctor told her she was at higher than average risk for having a Down's Syndrome child. She and her DH decided that the baby would be just fine with them and knew it would be well loved by everyone no matter what. In her fifth month the new doctor did an ultrasound and found no sign of Downs at all. It's amazing what they can see on these things. That's when they also found she was having a boy. She's due this week, but I am happy in the knowledge that she and her hubby would not let anything keep them from wanting or loving their baby. 8-)
