being as a beginner quilter was asking you, I agree with what you said and did. However, since she/he was a beginner you could have expounded and said that she should use what she could afford with the best quality possible and that the first quilts are often not perfect since they are learning tools. I think, being a beginner myself, I have this board, THANK YOU ALL, but she may not have this advantage and be a lonely quilter. Great advice, but as they say in politics, remember your audience. We all do the best with what we have and can afford.
