I made this quilt for a forever friend (we became friends in the 1st grade in '53) who is getting her BA degree in Southern History and is very knowledgeable about the Civil War. The pattern is "Women's Voices - A Civil War Quilt". Each block had a vignette so I used my computer to type the vignettes on transfer fabric and put the vignettes on the back of the corresponding block. I didn't like the white transfer fabric so I dyed the blocks with tea to give them a neutral or "antique" look. I really climbed out of my comfort zone on this quilt - all those pieces!
Thanks for looking.
