Do you have any place you can kennel him? I mean a small space or a travel cage? try that. My dog is not allowed to roam free at night. A dog usually won't need to go if they are in a small space. Also cover all but the front of the cage with an old blanket just leave the front uncovered so they can see out.

He's confined to the kitchen at night and he's too big for our crate (can't afford another one), but we have a back porch thats small and I'm tempted to leave him there for tonight and see what happens
