I second the suggestion of the bed risers. I cut, and iron, on a kitchen table in my basement. The bed risers made the height just perfect for me-no more back pain bending over cutting. They were maybe $9 at Walmart. The president of our quilting guild turned me on to them.
I liked these as you didn't have to have them cut to size or whatever. They are ready to use!!! and they look nice!
