Due to health probs I cannot stand too long so since starting quilting I have learned to cut my fabric etc; sitting down. I do have a good adjustable Office chair, a special treat to myself, and have learned how to fold n cut. I cannot cut standing up now. I have found the secret is to always have a good sharp blade and of course the proper rulers but it is so easy to cut sitting down, try it and see.
