What you did was perfectly acceptable and hopefully a good life lesson. I simply can not understand parents who think their children should not be disciplined in any way.
I agree completely. We have too many people that think they can get away with anything. Parents have a duty to teach their children how to behave and that actions, good or bad, have consequences. Some of which they may not like.
