I have finished all 9 of my memory quilts. They were made from my deceased mothers polyester pants. I made them for her grandchildren.
I made them to be used and enjoyed without worrying about hurting them. The polyester should last a long time and I used recycled hospital blankets in the middle which makes them very warm.
I would like to write a letter to go with each one, since these are really the first quilts I have made. I have read on here about the man on a galloping horse not being able to see the mistakes and I would like to include that in the letters. However I don't remember what the whole thing said.
There are lots of mistakes that quilters would see, but I want them to know that the memories are the important part of the quilts. My quilting skills or lack of should not matter.
Any help or information you can give me will be much appreciated.
I am attaching pictures of the nine quilts.
The striped material are some of her shirts
