These will last forever and are very warm. I have 8 double knit quilts my grandmother hand pieced between 35 and 40 years ago and they are still in very good shape. And they have been used, to make a tent at the kitchen table, to have a picnic in the floor in the living room, to layer 3 or 4 to make a pallet on the floor or yes and to keep warm with. They have been used daily for many years. I hand tied all of them, some of them to pre-quilted fabric, some to other pieces of double knit and some to sheets. They will treasure these forever.
