My shop had held something for me for one week before, but they know me, and they knew I'd be there eventually.I think it depends on the shop size/customer,surely one can't expect a shop to hold a fabric for more than a week,I'd say, but then again, if it's a regular customer, I imagine shop owners wouldn't mind holding longer. I tink it's evaluated on one to one basis, and that is the beauty of shopping local businesses, you can get the personalized service.
