You have an very beautiful quilt there!
I would go with a light sashing in around the blocks to make the colors pop and to make it easier to assemble. There will be less bulk at the edges of the block with a 1 - 2" sashing. I would sash with a light color around all the edges of the blocks, and then add a darker sash border to get the quilt to the desired dimensions.
