Thank you for the bigger picture, Sue. It worked just fine. After looking at that one, for sure I am going to put on the sashing. I didn't like the confused look that quilt had. I think the sashing makes it look more planned, kinda like the way I like things, even down to my gardening. I'm not one to just scatter a package of mixed seeds and wait for things to grow. The young girl I am giving it to wants black sashing anyway and another lady here gave me an excellent idea on how to do it, so we shall see.

I so appreciate all of the suggestions and help you wonderful people have given me. I'll leave the next planned striped quilt without sashing :)

I would use a 2 1/2 yellow or red sashing to make it pop. put yellow fabric on your design wall, add 2 or 3 blocks and see how it looks. Take the same idea with other fabrics and see witch one you like best.

I like it the way it is, no sashing. Add a black border to make the colors pop!
