I have a tabby (my Lizzie) that hates to be held, but she always stays close to me -- especially when I'm in my sewing room.
Peanut is a tabby? It could be a common breed trait, but I always thought our kitty was like that because he was really the offspring of a feral cat. He can be a real jerk, but he really could care less about cuddling, being held or petted more than a few strokes at a time. I am not really a cat person, either, but he was given to me during a weak moment and I can't say "no" to them baby type things <wave>
