To make your ties more secure, tie them in a square knot, or even better, with a surgeon's knot, which is making two turns with the thread ends instead of one (didn't explain this very well but I can't think of another way). This secures your knot better, especially if you add FrayCheck. Linus wants quilts machine-quilted only to prevent kids from untying the knots and for wearability.
