I have fallen in love with Quilter's Home MAgazine. It isn't your typcal quilting mag. Rather, it's more about quilty things in our lives. It's meant to be read. They do have 3 quilty items in there, but the patterns/templates are on the website, so they don't take up valuable printed pages.
At least one of the editors lurks here. That's how she found out about my inmate quilting program that is being featured in the current issue!
This issue of McCall's has a nifty item that I thought I'd make - a quilted shawl. It's about 72" x 22" with a pocket at each end. Thinking about having it to wear in church in the summer as it is so cold in there!
I stopped getting most magazines as they seem to do nothing more than promote fabric lines & let's face it, you usually need to blend a fabric line with other fabrics. There usually isn't enough contrast in value or pattern size variation. IMHO 8-)
