I would suggest that the quilter look into something like that. There's another kind advertised in the Keepsake Quilting catalog that has a similar setup.

I found something like this at Costco recently. It is a bendable "stick" that can wrap around your neck. There is a light on each end of the stick and you can adjust where it's pointing. I use it for sewing, reading in bed, and my husband uses it for working under our cars and when shoveling the kids treehouse in the dark! All around useful. :D
