You need to put date that it was created, Who pieced it, who quilted it, who it was for (if it was) any why (birthday, etc..).

My quilting partner also suggest putting the market value on it. That way non-quilters will know its value. Unfortantly many non-quilters don't realize what has gone into the making of the quilt. They see import quilts in adds for a fraction of what you can amke it for.

Another thing that you might do is to sew your name inside the quilt along the binding, so that if it is stolen, you have proff that its yours. You would be surprized how many quality quilts get taken each year, and without proof, you have no way to get it back.
