I put a top together with my serger one time, just for fun. It wasn't a QAYG though. It was a log cabin quilt, and I loved how it looked on the wrong side of the top--all those nice finished seams. The serger I had then didn't have any markings so I had to really pay attention to my seam allowances--it all worked out fine. I only did that on one quilt, and probably won't use the serger to make another one. My serger is noisy, and I pretty much only use it to make pajamas at Christmastime for my grandchildren...
