Some fabrics fray more than others. I would not use FrayCheck though. That would be fairly expensive and time consuming. The fraying will stop when you make the sandwich and quilt it. I have had some quilts that do it a lot and some that hardly fray at all. I think it depends on the shape of the blocks.
